Buddha Board

I love using a Buddha Board for earned free time or as a stress relief activity. But recently I realized the Buddha Board can be very helpful to students working on touch and pressure while writing. What is a Buddha Board? The Buddha Board is a special surface you can paint on, using only water and a brush. When done correctly, the water slowly evaporates off the board leaving a clean surface again. The user must use a light touch and very little water to create strokes that don’t run or drip on the board. This is the task I’ve given this student in the photo. He is practicing letter formations using little water, light touch and smooth strokes. The result, appropriate pressure on the board and beautifully formed letters!
